INVAIO SCIENCES LABS

Invaio Sciences Labs is a cutting-edge center of discovery in Cambridge, MA.  Beginning with the understanding of the inner workings of insects to benefit us all, we draw upon a lineage of advancing life sciences to gain a deeper understanding of our relationship with natural systems.
more about Invaio:

Understanding the Obligate Microbial Symbionts (OMS) of certain insects is core to our technology suite.  It’s a pillar of many of our discoveries.

The physiology of insects is a bold new world of discovery. With this understanding of the inner workings of bugs we take a new angle at insect population management.

We’ve discovered a unique way to manage pest insect population in a more sustainable way by targeting an insect’s nutritional function organ that houses their Obligate Microbial Symbionts (OMS).

OF BUGS

Further understanding of the role insects play in natural systems will lead to a time of refinement; a time of prescribed treatment to a problem of a particular manner. Through OMS we’re taking an advanced and targeted approach to dealing with pests, enhancing beneficials, all while protecting our health and shared best interests.

THE REALM OF DISCOVERY

Many agriculturally important insects have a nutritional function organ. We have discovered a unique approach to targeting that organ to manage insect populations. This represents an unexplored realm for developing multiple novel modes of action and deliveries to increase or decrease insect health.

WHAT MAKES THIS UNIQUE

This groundbreaking science with a variety of applications in agriculture and beyond can be used to modulate the health of multiple insect classes. While using proprietary algorithms through ongoing discovery we conduct a targeted ‘mining’ for molecules which will have positive net impact derived from safer insect control.

THROUGH A FOCUS ON PRECISION DELIVERY, WE TAKE A MORE MINDFUL APPROACH TO INSECT MANAGEMENT.

“If all the insects were to disappear from the Earth, within fifty years all life on Earth would end. If all human beings disappeared from the Earth, within fifty years all forms of life would flourish.”
